HO Scale Brass Model Train from TMS Tetsudo

C&O 4-8-6 Experimental Duplex Locomotive

This model is in very good overall condition considering the age and rarity of the model.
There is a lot of handwork on this model.
The model runs fine, but naturally quite noisy. On a scale from 1-10 the noise level is a 7.
Operating directional lights.
A few things make it special in our eyes, the original boxes still included.
According to the previous owner who's father purchased this in Japan when he was stationed there the TMS built this off of drawings of a proposed LIMA-Baldwin Duplex C&O 4-8-6. However those drawings have become somewhat scarce and the locomotive was obviously never built. So this is possibly quite a little piece of history. If not, quite a whimsical model we certainly would never have seen in plastic!
There are a number of cross used parts from other TMS projects used on the model, but very likely a one of a kind piece.
Very unique tender with sprung front and rear trucks.
Coal load installed in tender.
No original packing materials in the box.
Great piece of history.
It seems an air pump casting is missing from the pilot.

This model came from a collector that purchased these all in Japan when he was stationed there as a GI.
